I have a similar painting of a cottage (170-24) third from left, top row. My painting is 29.5 x 47.5 with frame of 3.5 in wide.

This painting was sold to me at my grandmothers estate sale and l have had it ever since.
If any one can tell me when this painting was painted, value and where it was painted, l would greatly appreciate the information.

I’m assuming those measurements are in inches – 29.5″x47.5″ called “Cottage by the Sea.”
If it was your grandmother’s painting, your family should know when she received it. Many were given for wedding presents or if she lived in Tavistock, it might have been painted specifically for her. Mr. Selfe lived with many different families during his years in Tavistock. A painting that large should have some special meaning.
Can you send a photo of it to me? I had heard there was a similar painting to #170-24, but didn’t know if it was true.
